    这篇帖子最早是发布在我的公众号,老美一说加征关税,当天就出了这篇邮件,同学们都说犹如雪中送炭。
    anyway,现在发也不迟,贸易战是个长期的过程,来看看叔怎么给大发牢骚的美国客户发邮件吧!

    So….要来的始终要来。今天要加税了。讲真,听到麻木了。我们群内的同学仔们好像都早有准备了。果然,加税官宣后几分钟就收到电邮了:



    I hope you are well. Are you ready to supply quotations for my projects? I have MANY new projects and many projects to prepare proposals that need your urgent attention.


    嗯,我深深相信老美的进口商比你们更着急。这次我就这个有时效的topic教大家回覆一下。你的老外可能写法不同,但如上面那种「你要不要减点价啊?我们还有very very big order啊!」的套路应该是万变不离其宗了。


    「To 减or not to 减,that is a question」。我们就写这两点吧。先来个我喜欢的强硬有礼版,再来一个公公版。



    强硬版如下:

    I just read from the news about the latest situation and I simply surprise with such a decision. We have been a very cooperative partner since we do business and with all the effort we put together, you are getting your best price ALREADY.
    (这些年来,该减的都早减给你了,现在你家老头搞这些事儿出来,我也是爱莫能助啊~)


    If I am allowed to be a bit creative there might be something we could consider. As there are MANY projects coming, we might be able to absorb some of your tax impacts by getting 100% cash from these projects in advance. This is obviously not our normal way of work but having some immediate cash seem to be the only way to let it make sense. Of course, it is just a suggestion, and we are not pushing for anything.


    (我是没办法再减了。。。。除非。。。除非。。。你先把钱打来吧。你不是说有很多顶目要给我们吗?那你反正要来了就给钱吧。所有未给钱的美好愿景,都是在瞎BB的。当然,我这只是意见而已。愿谈则谈,要打便打。)


    I would still be very happy to quote you any new project and provide professional support as we normally do.

    以上还是一惯的强硬坚持却有礼。我敢说这对着500强的CEO也不失礼。但我还是多写一个给大家参考。公公版是开玩笑的,该硬时硬,该弹性时也要有弹性。看你自身条件。


    公公版如下:


    I am sorry to hear the situation and as your long term partner, we will try our best to support you.  (先安他心:没事有叔叔在) I am not sure how much we could compensate for your president decision (这里大家自己把握了。一般来说我不太鼓励跟客户聊政治,但要是你在言谈间了解这不是大问题的话,一起骂骂老头子可能也不错。你决定吧。) but we will try to do it for you.  (为你。这事本来就不合理,但我只是在帮你。一切都只是为了你) In return I hope you could open up to me what is the target price you are looking at to make this business still reasonable .(顺便问个target price好好摸底吧。这时不问,更待何时!)


    好吧。其实今天我也有彭博社发表了言论。这次是我第三次针对贸易战在这个华尔街主流媒体上发表意见。有兴趣大家找来看看吧。反对贸易战,反对保护主义,但要打的话,我们也不怕。世界之大,哪里不是市场?
