【展会前期安排】邀约客户五部曲 Five Steps to Invite Customers
外贸连 The exciting Canton Fair is around the corner. I believe that most of you are expecting it as eagerly as I am. As foreign traders, in this busy season of Canton Fair and Hong Kong Electronics Fair, we can hardly relax even in the holiday that had just passed. I seize the great chance during the leisure holiday to make appointment with my customers. What about you?
Following are what I have done during the holiday:
1.The national holiday is the golden time for searching, following up with and especially inviting customers to the Canton Fair.
If you need to deliver goods to customers or you still have unfinished jobs, then you should really use the holiday to take care of these issues. And in this holiday we didn't indulge ourselves in food and amusement, but made such a plan instead:
Morning: have a good sleep, and this is good time for sightseeing, let's leave the jobs alone.
Noon: this is a perfect time to be a good girl or boy by helping families with the household duties, doing green grocery shopping and cooking. We can forget about jobs for a moment.
Afternoon: everybody will have a midday rest in this time, so from 15:00 to 18:00 we can follow up with the current customers we have and try to get some new ones. And we should try to invite some customers to attend the Canton Fair.
Night: the time from 20:00 to 23:00 we can focus on the markets that have time difference from ours.
Of course the holiday is a great opportunity to relax and go for a travel for those friends who love traveling. Actually there are not many conflicts. In the nest holiday you may just try to spend the three hours before bedtime to follow up with customers and invite the key customers to attend the Canton Fair or to visit your factory.
2. When the Canton Fair and Hong Kong Electronics Fair are coming, I believe that many foreign traders are not sure what to do to invite customers to attend the exhibitions. Let's check out the five steps we take to make invitation:
a. During the half month before the Fair, send e-mails to invite the customers every other day (inform them the location of the Fair).
b. During the half month before the Fair, when talking with the key customers over the phone, ask if they will attend the Fair.
c. Ask the customers if they are sure about the dates they plan to attend the Fair and ask if they need help to make arrangement for their journeys.
d. During the week before the Fair, contact the customers by phone calls, e-mails and texts and tell them the location of the Fair and our contact information. Try to convince the customers to give us their phone numbers in China for the convenience of contact. And make a further confirmation of the dates that the customers are going to attend the Fair.
e. If the customers do not show up during the exhibition, we can call the customers again and try our best to invite them to the Fair.
And after inviting the customers to the Fair, we should sort out the information of the customers for the convenience of contact. These five steps may lead you to successful orders, so you really should seize the opportunity.
Therefore, relaxation and jobs are not necessarily conflicting, as long as you can make plans in a smart way. We are all energetic young men, and we should cherish every opportunity to create more values. We will definitely be grateful for what we do today in the future.
